    Areas of Specialism

I worked with patients and as a bereavement and pre-bereavement counsellor at St Peter and St James Hospice for 6 years.

    Personal Approach

I trained in Integrative Counselling and have since gone on to gain a further qualification. I use a combination of theoretical approaches in my work, and provide an entirely confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, in order to discover a better way of living and being.

Working with you in therapy, I facilitate the development of your inner resources, building self-esteem, confidence and a heightened sense of well-being. My job is to provide help and support while you reach your own decisions, not about telling you what to do. Together we will establish your goals and develop your ability to cope with life's difficulties and therefore enjoy a more fulfilling existence.

Our work together will consist primarily of talking and, where appropriate, I offer the use of creative tools. Tapping into the subconscious via creativity provides a different and sometimes surprising route to awareness. By developing awareness of our thoughts and feelings we gain insight, a powerful means of helping us towards autonomy.
